The Issues that Matter

Lower Water Rates

Getting basic water service in Pflugerville shouldn’t break the bank. I believe the city’s water rates have gotten absolutely insane, hurting working families and seniors alike. As someone who helped make Lake Pflugerville a reality, I understand how to get big things done when it comes to our water infrastructure. As Mayor, I’ll fight to lower water rates, demand greater transparency from utility providers, and make sure Pflugerville residents aren’t being overcharged for a basic necessity.

Lower Taxes

The steady increase of City, School and County taxes and fees are a burden to taxpayers, and homeowners, especially older residents that live on a fixed income. Lower taxes and lower fees for services should be planned and budgeted. Skyrocketing long term debt, currently over $2 Billion makes tax reduction difficult, but not impossible. Planning for future spending should always look impacts on the cost of living for ALL people in the City.

Financial Transparency

I believe Pflugerville taxpayers deserve the truth,  not hidden fees and secretive spending. For years, I’ve watched City Council quietly slip major expenses past us without proper scrutiny. That’s not how I operate. As Mayor, I’ll demand and enforce full financial transparency. Every major contract, project cost, and budget decision should be clear, easy to find, and open to public input. I won’t let anyone hide the true cost of their decisions, it’s your money, and you deserve to know exactly how it’s being spent.

Housing

I am concerned about housing and housing costs for two groups of Pflugerville citizens. Pflugerville has limited options for entry level housing. Recent college graduates and people who have lived in apartments for many years, have no affordable options for starter homes. There are plenty of $400,000+ homes, but they're out of reach for beginners. Additionally, fixed income and elderly people have limited options for smaller footprint, single story houses. As Mayor I will work to ensure all citizens no matter their income level have available housing options.

Lower Spending

I’ve watched Pflugerville’s spending spiral out of control and I’m going to do something about it. As Mayor, I’ll bring a responsible, disciplined approach to city finances. That means no more blank checks for pet projects, no more overbuilt monuments to bureaucracy, and no more wasting taxpayer dollars on things the community didn’t ask for. I’ll fight to rein in runaway budgets, cut unnecessary spending, and make sure every dollar is spent wisely.  Pflugerville families have to live within their means, and City Hall should too.
