Doug's $1,600,000,000 Debacle

My opponent has been on city council since 2016. In that time he has voted for a RIDICULOUS $1.6 BILLION dollars in city spending. That does not include any of our school or fire department costs, pure NEW city spending. Our city's debt in the meantime has unsurprisingly ballooned to near $2 Billion dollars, placing a burden on our kids and generations to come. That is ABSOLUTELY NOT ACCEPTABLE. Fiscal irresponsibility like that has already virtually bankrupted our city and we will be paying for Doug's mistakes for decades. Meanwhile he enthusiastically signed on for what will likely end up being a $250M+ monument to hubris (and what he hopes is a cushy new office for him) in our new City Hall. Keeping him in office will insure we hurtle towards insolvency and none of us will be able to afford to continue to live here.
