Meet Pat McCord
DECADES OF PFLUGERVILLE SERVICE
Pat McCord has called Pflugerville home for over three decades — and he’s spent nearly every one of those years giving back. A 33-year resident of the city and 38-year member of the PfISD community, Pat lives near City Park with his wife Cindy, an administrative assistant at the University of Texas. Their daughter Megan is a proud elementary school teacher in Hutto.
Pat’s record of community service is deep and unwavering. He served six years on the Pflugerville City Council, completed two terms on the Parks and Recreation Commission, and dedicated 25 years to the Deutschen Pfest Committee. He was part of the inaugural class of the Pflugerville Citizens Police Academy, participated in two PfISD bond committees, and is an active member of both the American Legion and the Knights of Columbus.
PROUD VETERAN
Before Pflugerville, Pat served his country. The son of a career Army veteran, Pat was born in Elizabethtown, Kentucky and spent his youth between Germany and Fort Knox. After graduating high school in Karnes City, Texas, he joined the U.S. Navy and completed advanced training in submarine operations and missile electronics. He served aboard the USS Simon Lake and held a classified post in Virginia before being honorably discharged after six years.
COMMUNITY LEADER
Professionally, Pat built a career in the semiconductor industry, rising from Quality Manager to General Manager and CEO at Minco Technology and Austin Semiconductor. Today, he works part-time in the industry while also running his own photography business, capturing high school and youth sports throughout the Austin area. He’s become a familiar face behind the lens at local games and events and even offers free photography lessons to students and adults.

Pat is a passionate advocate for Pflugerville, driven by his love of community, service, and the people who make this city great. When he’s not volunteering or photographing the action, you’ll find him traveling, fishing, or looking to the stars with his telescope.

Pat McCord's campaign is rooted in the belief that our city is in trouble. Our current city council led by his opponent have spent $22,000 for every man, woman, and child in Pflugerville, racking up $2 BILLION in debt. That is not only unsustainable, that is absolutely insane for a city of 60,000 people. Now they have bypassed you the voters to approve hundreds of millions of dollars for a "Tax Mahal" so his opponent can get a cushy new office while your family foots the bill. Our water bills are out of control, the cost of living here is sky rocketing, and it's losing its small town charm. That stops NOW, Pat will bring a voice of sanity to City Council and protect YOUR city, YOUR family, and YOUR hard earned tax revenue.
